Chapter Philanthropy

Phi Mu hosts a philanthropy event each semester. In the fall, Phi Mu hosts Cheesin' for Children, where we make everyone's favorite cheesy foods such as mac and cheese and quesadillas. Our sisters love putting on this delicious fundraising event! In the past, during the spring, Phi Mu has hosted a Laser Tag Tournament on the Sunken Gardens. We are hoping that this fall in 2023 we are able to hold our new philanthropy event: Phi Mu Spike-ball. This spring, we put on Cupcakes for a Cause, in which we collaborated with Skate Club to sell and deliver hand-made cupcakes with an unlimited toppings bar! 

Proceeds from both of our philanthropy events go to Children Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, which is our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Our sisters also have the pleasure of going on hospital tours and volunteering at CHKD. 

Participation in philanthropy is a mandatory part of being a sister of Phi Mu, but every sister genuinely cares about raising money for such a noble cause! We love seeing how the proceeds from our events are used and supporting the wonderful children at CHKD!
